We're BACK

And what a FABULOUS holiday we had. We have just come home from 9 days of pure relaxation at Caloundra. We spent the week with my brother and sister and my two beautiful nieces. We stayed at our usual resort - the Rolling Surf Resort. It is just paradise. I did heaps of walking and swimming and loads of eating (as you do on holidays). We also did a couple of night time walks along the beach and some night time swimming in the pool. The girls had a great time and keeping Kirsty and Makayla out of the water was a battle. But trying to keep Kirsty with us was an even bigger battle as she just wanted to spend the time with her two cousins. And not one argument was had for the entire time we were together. Just goes to show how much they are growing up.

Cameron had his birthday while we were away so we enjoyed a night out at a Thai restaurant. The food was great. Kirsty got sick after dinner as the plate of food she was served was enough to feed a very hungry adult and yet somehow she managed to eat all of it bar a handful of chips.

Yes I did make Cameron wear the party hat but he wore it just for the photos. It just isn't a birthday party without party hats..........
This is the balcony from our room. Just perfect. We had our own access to the pool and could see the kids swimming. I totally recommend this place for a holiday.

We went to Montville while we where in the area and saw candy being made. Oh My Goodness. If ever there was an artist it is the guy making the candy. I so wish I got photos (yeah I know I can't believe I didn't take any either). If you are ever in Montville do stop into Candy Addiction and watch them make candy. You will be amazed at what they do. Plus you will walk out with arm fulls of candy as we nearly did.We also visited the Malaney Dairy. Which the girls had a great time seeing the cows being milked as well as the goats. Lucky for you I don't have smell - a - blog........ As the smell was just disgusting. The goats had to be milked twice a day. Check out those udders . OUCH.........

My BF Katrina and Brenton and Prudence visited us on our last day. And my goodness she has grown but Prudence is still such a petite little princess. Photos to come.

The weather was just perfect and it was a much needed rest for us all after such a busy year. Looking forward to our next big holiday.

Now you will notice that my blog has changed slightly. This is thanks to my BF Lorelle for putting me onto this fabulous site. I do love her blog so go and check it out.

MOST EXCITING NEWS - Makayla sat on my lap beside Santa today and we got a photo. I know, not that exciting for some but I was just soooooo excited as she would not even look at him over a week ago. Though I was not dressed to have my photo taken with Santa and my wonderful husband said I looked great. Love you Cameron. But he was lying through his teeth. I will have to some how air brush me out of the photo. I will no doubt be calling on my friend Lorelle for some major help there.

Have a great Christmas everyone and I hope Santa finds you.

Love Sandra

TEN TEN TEN

Has anyone seen my baby??????

I can't believe my little girl is just about all grown up. She is now into double digits. And just how beautiful is she?

So much has happened since I last blogged. We have had a birthday party, which consisted of around twelve 10 year old girls dancing, laughing and more dancing. And of course I got up and did a bit of dancing. I was told by one of the parents that they could hear the music from the start of our street. I do think the neighbours were a bit shocked at the noise as we don't usually have much noise come from our place. My sister and brother and neices came up from Brisbane to celebrate Kirsty's birthday. As always a weekend is just never enough time to spend with them.

Only 9 more sleeps until Cameron finishes work. We are so looking forward to spending the holidays together. Only 9 more sleeps.. did I mention that........

I have been really busy with work the last couple of weeks. I have started back at my old work place but this time I have been set up from home. What a great job I have......... I work on average 3 days a week but just depends what work there is. My job role is a Paraplanner. I know - What The......... Basically I prepare documents as instructed by the Financial Adviser. I am really enjoying what I am doing and especially being at home makes it so much easier in organising the family.

I have also finished making all of my Christmas presents. Which I can't put on the blog just yet otherwise everyone will see what I have made for them..... And I have also finished my Christmas cards for this year. Well this year was a new record in the number of cards I made. This year I made 90 cards and gave those 90 cards out. Or in the process of giving them out. I even did heaps of sewing on my cards this year. So those that get a hand made card from me this year I will be checking to see if you keep it during the year.. LOL

I am looking forward to this Sunday as a few of my addicted scrapper friends and I are all getting together to have a scrapathon or just a day with the girls. Scrapathon sounds better. It is really sort of our christmas party. So I am hoping to get some scrapbooking done. See you all there. I'll be wearing my Christmas clothes and I might just have to join in and sing those christmas songs with you D.......

Kirsty is now finished school for another year. And we have loads of things planned for the holidays. So it might be a few weeks before I see you again. So have a great Christmas everyone and a safe New Year.

Our Anniversary.........

What a week!!!!!!! But the best way to end a great week was celebrating our wedding anniversary. Yes it was Cameron's and my 5th wedding anniversary. We spent the day together. I did have the opportunity to spend scrapbooking today but decided that this day only comes around once a year and I wanted to be with the one I love. And I LOVE my presents I got. I got a ring and another charm bracelet. Very spoilt...........

We spent the morning at the Coral Coast Christian School's Billy Cart Grand Prix. What a great event. We checked out the competition as next year Cameron is going to build us one. Kirsty ended up joining a team and got to race the big race.

We then spent the afternoon doing some mundane chores as we are getting our yard ready for Kirsty's big party next week. She is turning 10 so I have been planning for some time her party. We are having a dance party. I can't wait. Just imagine how Kirsty is..........

Best go and spent the last couple of hours with Cameron.

Weekend Activities

What a great weekend. Well it all started with a fabulous night of scrapping on Friday night as always. I so look forward to the night with the girls. I actually managed to get a page done on Friday night. And then on Saturday I got another one done. I have put one of the pages in the slideshow to the left. It is the Going, Going Gone page.
Cameron and I then got all dressed up and headed off to the Miss Bundy Thunder Ball Saturday night. And it was a great night. There was a great band playing but no dancing for us. Cameron didn't want to show up all those other guys trying to dance. LOL. And the best part was Cameron's work college won the Fundraising section and also the overall Miss Bundy Thunder. Congratulations Stephanie. You looked absolutely beautiful.
I plotted around the house on Sunday trying to work out what I was going to do this year for Christmas presents. Yes I know it is only November but there is just too many people to make things for so I really should have started sooner. I also did a bit of gardening. Which Makayla so willingly helped me with. We are trying to get the front yard and patio ready for Kirsty's BIG birthday party in a few weeks. She is turning the big 10. I just want to know where my little girl has gone. If you find her let me know.
I started back at work today and boy am I tied. Staring at a computer all day is hard work. LOL Anyway, I did enjoy being back and doing something different. Bring on Wednesday for my next big day I say.
Then tonight we went and saw Kirsty perform at the Gala Concert the school had on. She of course was great. And the other children, how great were they. I was amazed at what they were playing as well at their ages. And there were no screeches or squeaks.
So I think I might pack myself off to bed. Till next time.

Update

Well there has been a little delay on the commencing work. Hopefully next week I will be right into it. Cameron is already talking about renovating the kitchen and he also mentioned that we could maybe look at taking that trip to America. I have on a few occasions said that I would love to take the kids to Disneyland and also to see their family over their. But he always says no - too much money. You know he is an accountant..... LOL.

Anyway I have taken the opportunity the last couple of days to just sit and scrap. And that is what I did. I have spent the time finishing all those unfinished pages. I ended up finishing off about 25 layouts. I have used the KISS method. Maybe I can start on some new pages. I will keep you posted.

Have you seen my Kirsty......

My beautiful girl decided she wanted her hair cut. Well as you all know I so love Kirsty's long hair and never want her to cut it short. Well I decided that she is seconds away from turning 10 (yes that's right 10) and thought she is getting old enough to make some decisions for herself.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

She looks so more grown up now. Though I will share something with you. As Stef was making the first cut I had butterflies and knots in my stomach. But she looks just as beautiful. Don't you think???????????

These are her pigtails which I HAD to keep. And you know what I am going to do with them...... That's right put them in her album. It is a shame though as I cut her hair about a month ago and cut about 2 inches off it.

Best go and hug that girl again before she totally grows up and I miss out.

Lamingtons

Some time ago I was selling lamingtons for the Coral Coast Christian School. Well they are again doing a lamington fund raiser. So if you would like to purchase some lamingtons then drop me an email or leave a comment. I am sure they have the cake made and they (the parents) do the rest. And they will be as yummy as the last batch.

They are $7 for a dozen. Come on put some in your freezer or just eat them straight away. I just need to know by Wednesday 29 October so I can let the mums at the school know.

Looking forward to hearing from you all.

One Week

That's right only one more week left until I start my training. Some would say that I am crazy but I am so looking forward to returning to work. I'm sure Cameron is thinking of reverse roles - me at work and him at home. Not going to happen he needs to learn how to cook.... LOL

Well best go and get the house all sorted before I loose my free days.

Busy Weekend

We have had a very busy weekend. We went camping with Bundaberg SDA Adventurers. Who you say, well it is like scouts but it is done through our church. We camped in tents at one of the leaders property. One for the boys and one for the girls. I was fortunate to be in the girls tent. (being that I am a girl I suppose) I don't think the girls got to sleep before 10pm and then they woke up at 5am.

All 7 girls needed to go to the toilet AT 5AM. I did tell them to tie it in a knot but as I was so tired I now realise I should have told them to put a peg on it. But I got out of bed and took them all to the toilet. Now you would think that since it was 5am that they would want to go back to sleep. NOOOOOOOOOOO, they decided that they needed to have a pillow fight.

Well I suppose camping is all about waking up early. But we did all have a great time. We finished up the weekend with a visit to Kelly's Beach. As you can tell from Kirsty she had a great time swimming in the sand. Yes I do think that some of the children forgot that water is for swimming in and sand is for building sand castles. ( I did tell Kirsty tonight that the police were likely to come and arrest her as she had stolen so much sand) LOL

Celebrity Sighting

Have you seen today's NewsMail......... Well I haven't but I have had LOTS of phones calls about page 17. Apparently there is a picture of me with the write up of the Fund Raiser that Petrina and Cassie are organising this Saturday at TCAC. At first I thought "What the" but now I just laugh as I think it is a bit funny.

For those that are concerned that my photo is there I have rectified the situation and it appears that Newsmail were after a photo for the story and looked on file and found this one of me from a couple of years ago so they thought it would be OK to use. I told them that I was OK with it in the end, as if it sells more tickets for this fund raiser then who really cares.

No I am not going, for those that were going to ask.

That's my MUM.......

Well my mum has now lost over 30 kgs in 5 months. Oh my goodness. Just check out how great she looks. I am still trying to find a picture of her before but as she didn't like photos taken, I'm not sure if I have one. But check out those pants that she used to fit into. You could nearly put another person in there. Way to go Mum. So proud that you have finally got there.

Go on leave mum a comment.

We're BACK.......

And can I say that the last week has been absolutely FANTASTIC...... I don't know why we haven't gone on Big Camp before. For those that don't know Big Camp is organised by our church and it is 9 days of fun, seminars, catching up with friends and being spiritually refreshed. I think I did all of these. Kirsty and Makayla were non stop the whole time. Kirsty is still talking about next year and "I wonder what they are going to do next year". While Makayla keeps saying "I go camping mummy".

I would really like to thank my friends (Nicole, Haydn, Rose to name a few) and family (Lyn and Roger) for all their support while we were away. Prior to going away I got the flu and as I was laying down for most of 8 days I ended up with an inflamed disc in my lower back. Hence I could barely walk when I got to camp. Lyn and Roger helped me set up the tent and sort out all of our gear. In the midst of doing this my 2 year old Makalya decided to go for a little look around in the DARK and got herself momentarily lost. Needless to say I was a mess. But I found her or should I say I heard her screaming about 200 metres from the tent. For the remainder of the night I kept standing on her she was that close to me. And I didn't mind one bit that she was there. And that night while we slept she bear hugged me all night. I couldn't move without her laying her arms over me or trying to ly on me all night.
Here are a few photos of our set up at Big Camp. Next year I think I'm going to take a GAS fridge, freezer, oven and anything else I can think of. We did alright considering Cameron wasn't able to be with us. Though he did come down the last weekend so he could help me pack up. Don't know what I would do with out him.

WE CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR.........

Tuesday, September 9, 2008

I DID IT........

Yes I finally did it. I finished my assignment. YAHOO!!!!!!! And just in time I say. Thanks to my wonderful 9 year old I got her dreaded flu. Thank goodness Cameron hasn't been sick as it has been one of the worst flu's we have had here in some time. I am still sick but thanks to drugs and Demazin 6 hour Relief I am GOING to start to feel better tomorrow.

I haven't even felt like scrapbooking - so I really must be sick. I really need to be better for Friday night so I can scrap with my friends and also better for Sunday so I can be at the Scrap Clubs Sunday scrap.

Only 10 more sleeps until we go camping for 9 days. I am now starting to look forward to our trip.

Well I'm going back to bed to have some more rest. I am getting rather sick of being horizontal....

Monday, August 18, 2008

Check YOU out......

Check out how great my mum looks. Well I think she looks great. She is my inspiration . She has lost over 20kgs in the last 4 months. How great is that.........
Mum and Dad came up this weekend to see the girls and to spend some time here with us. Makayla is getting way better with them. She is one of those children that doesn't let anyone near her. But she is really starting to understand who they are.

Long awaited pages

Well finally I have finished a few more pages. Some very basic and simple but that's all I really thought they needed. I have recently received my new Cricut Storybook cartridge from America and I LOVE IT. I didn't get the Graphically Speaking but when I saw a girlfriends I just HAD to have it. You know what I mean......
So I am hoping that it will be here in the next week. But big thanks to Lorelle who let me use her Graphically Speaking cartridge to have a play.
I used the Graphically Speaking cartridge to cut out this collage of 3's. So many ways to use this feature. I can't wait to get my cartridge.
I started this layout a couple of Friday nights ago when a few of us friends get together. I just realised that I haven't finished this one. I still need to journal on it. I have many of pages just like this one (nearly finished that is).

This layout was from the challenge pack that we got at the I Scrap Therefore I Am Sunday Scrap last week. Helen did a great job in organising the packs. Thanks again Helen for the packs. And thanks again to Cassie and Petrina for yet another great day. xxxxx

Back......

Well I am back from BrisVagas and all is going to be OK with my hand. Well that is what I am telling myself. A little positive thinking doesn't go astray I say. After being injected with cortisone my hand was numb for about 45 minutes and then the real pain set in. I believe if I had of chewed my hand off I would have been in less pain. I would have rathered go through 10 child births in one day than the pain the doctor inflicted upon me. But hopefully what he has done will fix me up.
Other wise apparently it is then off to the theatre room with upto 12 months recovery. Yeah I know, not an option. Thank goodness when I woke on Wednesday I was feeling a lot better but I still have the pain which is slowly disappearing. Well I think it is.
Stay tuned as I have some pages that I have been working on. One of them was from the Sunday scrap using Helen Ross's challenge pack.
I also did a class with Lorelle tonight. So I will have those pages to show once I find some photos to put on them.

Sick of being SICK......

Well I'm sick AGAIN...... Probably because I haven't been eating enough chocolate lately. LOL. It has been a while since my last post. Have been busy studying and playing with Makayla. I just love this age where they are learning and just wanting to play, play and more play. She is pretty much toilet trained. We just have to work on the number 2's.

Makayla's communication skills are getting very good. She loves Dora at the moment and she often tells me "Mummy you love Dora too". And her delightful daddy has taught her to say "What a rip off". Trust the men to teach the children all the educational phrases.

Kirsty is doing really great also. Unfortunately she is growing up and all too quickly. In about 6 years she will be learning to drive a car. Oh where did the years go. It saddens me that she is nearly all grown up.

It must be time to have more babies.

I have had some time lately to do some scrapbooking. This one is the August challenge at This n That Scrap Shack. Not sure if I will enter it as I haven't really used all the gear in the pack.

Well I'm off to Brisbane AGAIN on Monday. I have a specialist appointment to see a Doctor about my hand. Looks like they might need to operate. I am saying this as if you tell people one thing sometimes it doesn't happen. So I am hoping that they will be able to fix it with out an operation.

New Tool

I picked up a parcel this morning and in it was a new punch I ordered from Custom Crops.
The punch embosses at the same time it punches. I have yet to master corners but have been punching card as well as paper.

One more week.....

Yes one more week of holidays for us. Hopefully Kirsty and I will do a bit of play and also maybe a little bit of revision. Though I am sure the revision part she would like me to forget.

We have just had a week in Brisbane with my family. It is always great to go down for a visit but always great to come home. Especially when you leave your husband for a week.

I am sure Cameron had a very quiet week with out the noise of the children.

Apart from being sick for the first part of the holidays and getting food poisioning at the end, the week was OK.

We did some visiting and shopping (towards the end of the week) and we also spent a day at Dreamworld. We went with my Sister Maree, Brother David and the children Ashleigh and Rachel. We had a great day and as it was David's birthday, it was an extra special day. Well Ashleigh and David managed to talk Maree and I into going on the Tower of Terror. How I do not know... Well below is the photo that was taken shortly after we took off. OH MY GOODNESS. Are probably the only words printable that I could say. There were soooooo many colourful words that I did say on the 27 second ride. The ride was going 157kilometres and I am sure that it got to this speed within seconds of taking off.

And I would go again. It was FABULOUS......... Check out the expressions of some of the others. LOL.

Till next post.
XXXXXXX

Did I do that....

Well I should have had my mother take photos of me sewing this as I don't believe I made it either. I decided that I wanted to make Lyn (Cameron's mum) a quilt for her 60th Birthday. And in the spirit of the West gene I left it to the last minute. Well I always say that my mum works best under pressure and maybe I have inherited a bit of this too as I managed to make my very first quilt in just one and a half days. Yep that's right this quilt was made by me and in only a short time. I know I can't believe it either.... LOL

Now I am hooked and want to start another quilt. I am now thinking of ways to decorate Kirsty's room. It is very addictive that's for sure.

Time to Scrap....

Well I have found some time this week to do a few pages and finish off some of those pages that I had started but just couldn't finish. These are a few of my favourites:
I used several different embossing templates for the titles. I like the effect it gave. I also used glitter. Not a huge fan of glitter as it comes off and goes everywhere. But I sprayed it with a vanish and the glitter doesn't rub off. I think I might be using glitter a bit more often.

I finally finished this layout. I wanted it just right. This is my family in America. I created the flower journalling shapes from my Craft Robo. I got the inspiration from some journalling pads Petrina had at a Sunday Scrap. I also played with some Flock. Look close they are on the brads. I love the effect that it gives.

These are just a few of my favourite pages. Click on them to enlarge especially the "Asleep" page. I love these photos. Children are so precious.
Till next time. Sandra xxxx

Sports Day...

The last 2 days of school were full of sports and fun. Kirsty competed in many events. She totally enjoyed these days. No places but it is a bit hard when most of the girls are nearly 12months older than her. We all had fun thought.

Kirsty ran the 800m race. I thought that was great. I could walk 800m but not run. She also did High Jump, and a few other sprint races. It was a great way to end school.

Kirsty is now on holidays for 3 weeks. So I am planning a few mummy and daughter moments to spend together. We are heading off to Brisbane for the second week the of school holidays. Spending the week with my parents and visiting family and friends.

And Makayla was very pround of her big sister. When given the opportunity she was sitting and cuddling her big sister.

Help me......

What was I thinking when I decided to go back and study. Clearly I was not thinking straight. For those that don't know I - in my wisdom decided to do some study in order to work for my old boss Kathy at RetireInvest here in Bundaberg. So I have started a Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning). Far out. There is SO much to know.

But is it all relevant????????? Only time will tell.

There are 10 modules and I am only half way through the 3rd module. And for those that are interested Economics is what I am trying to get a grasp at the moment.

YUK, YUK, YUK.

But it will be all worth it in the end.

I took a break yesterday and designed something up for the first time from scratch from my Craft Robo. Let me know what you think? A Friend (Petrina) had these journalling tags on the weekend and I really wanted to get some but couldn't wait so I thought I would design something up and presto......

On a sad note, my Aunty and cousin go back to American tomorrow. Have a safe trip guys. Missing you all and looking forward to seeing soon. xxxxx

Busy, Busy, Busy........

Well it has been a very busy month since I last blogged...... I have been busy with the usual family events as well as trying to get a few projects done.

My Aunty Christina and my cousin Kellyn arrived a few weeks ago from America. We have just gone down to see them and it felt like I needed more visits as really one day was not quite enough. I really should have stayed longer. They were here in Australia only about 5 years ago so hopefully they will be back again in another 5 years. My Aunty Christina has always been my favourite aunty. I still remember her leaving Australia on a TAA plane (I'm sure that is what it was called back then) and waving at the top of the stairs. I was only 7 at the time. It is amazing what you remember from your childhood.

Christina we didn't have enough time together, I am missing you already.......

I made for my Aunty a calendar with lots of photos of the family for her to remember us. I also made up a few Kaiser wood items with photos for my cousins in America. Then I had to make my mother a Mothers Day present and being that she is nearly hopeless at remembering birthdays I made her a calendar for the wall with hopefully all the birthdays on it that she needs to remember. She just needs to look at it. Hey Mum..........

I have also finally finished my BESTEST Friend's wedding album (that I started last year at the Scrapbooking Retreat). I will be seeing Katrina, Brenton and Prudence in July when I take the girls down. I am sure they will love it.

A sneak peak at the album....... Not giving too much away....

I start my studies on Monday. Well I have sort of been studying the last couple of weeks but with all my projects I just couldn't concerntrate on the studying. Monday is the day I start, head down. So I will have to put all my scrapbooking gear away out of sight as I am sure if I am sitting at my table and see a page or two I won't be able to concerntrate again.

So Friday nights will be my escape and probably the only time I will get to scrapbook. Maybe I will be able to squeeze a page or two in during the week and the weekends. And I have the second Sunday of each month at the Scrap Club. Looking forward to tomorrow scrappin with friends.

The children are doing great. Kirsty has finished exams for this semester and Makayla is doing more and more each day. I think we will have the toilet training down pat in the next couple of months. And she is great little talker, I wonder who she gets that from........

Well that's me, I will hopefully not take so long for my next post. Keep well and keep smiling.

Back to reality......

I am back from the Scrapbooking Retreat. And I had a GREAT time. The food was just scrummy. And I was indeed a PORKER. You were not wrong there Cassie........ LOL. Though any food prepared, cooked for you is just perfect. And then the dishes are done for you. What more could you ask for. Except if she would come live with you.......

A huge THANK YOU to the girls - Petrina and Cassie for organising yet another great weekend. There were so many prizes and the work these two put into this event is huge. And we even got chocolates on our pillows. Is there nothing these girls can do????????

My dress up for Friday night didn't go to plan as my false eyelashes didn't want to go on. And I couldn't find the right outfit to wear. But I did find some Flamingo style skirt which I thought sort of suited. I could have passed as either a Drag Queen or a Dance Queen. You decide?

I even won a challenge. At the last minute I found a layout that I thought I would hang up and well it won. I was a little surprised but very happy. Thanks Cameron for taking these photos.

I went with 30 pages to do which I had sorted paper and designed. At the end of the weekend I got 10 pages done. But on Sunday I only got 1 page done. I think I dragged my heels a bit as I knew the weekend was coming to an end.

I came home to 2 girls that missed their mummy. I got HUGE hugs from both of them and Makayla said to me "Miss Mummy". I had to ask Cameron if he had been telling her this and he said "No". They just make you melt don't they. (the children that is). And I think Cameron missed me a bit too.

Looking forward to the next retreat. Only 362 more sleeps...... LOL As if I would count down the sleeps now... or would I........

Challenge for May......

I have been a little busy today. I have completed the challenge for May already for This n That Scrap Shack. I wonder if there are any prizes for finishing so early........

So if you are passing by This n That Scrap Shack be sure to pop in and vote. Of course for mine.

It's my BIRTHDAY......

And what a great day. Thanks to all those that remembered and to all those that just remembered. 21 again apparently or is it thirty something. I keep forgetting. I will be having a delayed birthday as I will be childless tomorrow so I can do just about anything I want. And I think I may want to scrapbook.
We went out to celebrate, Hungry Jacks style that is. Not my first choice but who is to complain, food is cooked, no dishes and no mess to clean up. Plus the kids where kept amused for most of the evening.
We had A-la-Surprise Chocolate Cake. A recipe I'm sure you will all be fighting me for. Kirsty was eating a piece of the cake and I noticed that some of the bottom of it looked like it had not cooked. Kirsty mentioned that it tasted like sausage. Well you know what it was. Funny that as I was cooking sausages last night and I dropped a few. As it turns out one must have landed in the cake mix and I was not aware. A friend also had the surprise of biting into a bit of sausage surprise chocolate cake. Very sorry Teresa.
All in all I had a great day.

Before and After.....

Well I only got asked just recently what I do now I don't work at the shop that is. Cause we all know that Mums don't stop working. It is a 24hour, 7days a week job. Though there are no money rewards there are certainly other sorts of rewards.

Anyway I have put a few pictures up of Kirsty's room before I got in there and after I finished. Kirsty unfortunately has a very bad habit of playing and not putting her things away. And you can see what happens when Mum closes her eyes when she walks down the hallway.
Well I think I won't be closing my eyes anymore.
It took me around 4hours to clean up her room. I always say never again but I think that is wishful thinking.

I had a great nights scrappin at Lorelle's Friday night. There is getting to be quite a lot of us meeting up each week.
Congratulations to Lorelle for getting that job at This n That Scrap Shack. Great to see you laughing and smiling again.

There is only 18 more sleeps until the Retreat. I am wondering if my fancy dress is going to be too much for the evening. I thought I'd dress up as a Drag Queen.

Still here....

Well one of my goals for this year was to be able to ride on push bikes, Kirsty to school. For those who know my first attempt was not too successful but today I have riden her to school. And I have riden back to pick her up. I truly must be crazy as in total today I would have riden around 15klms. I do believe I will feel it tomorrow or maybe even Thursday. Makayla rides on the back of my bike. And she absolutely loves it. Though her constant swaying from side to side makes it a real challenge to stay upright. There is only 24 more sleeps to the BIG Scrapbooking Retreat. I so can't wait but have to. For those that are not booked in there maybe some places left but I'm sure they are filling very quickly. It is a great weekend. And I am so looking forward to not working for the first time. I have found out that I am not able to work for any scrapbooking stores for a period of 12months from settlement of the business. But hopefully Lorelle will be teaching there in the next week. So watch out for her classes. Best go as I now have to collapse. I have put a photo of Kirsty to show just how much she is growing into a beautiful girl. Well I think so. See you all soon. xxxx

Welcome to ME.......

Hello all,
Well I thought I'd get into the 21st Century and create a Blog. There are no guarantees that I will keep it updated. But I will try to keep you as upto date as possible.
Since leaving The Creative Artz Cottage I have been extremely busy. I simply don't know where I had the time to actually go to work before. I now spend a lot of time having morning tea with my friends and also my new found friends through the shop.
No I haven't been back into the shop since I left - for those asking. There were a few things that happened at settlement that left a bad taste in my mouth, so for the time being I will keep my distance. But there is a group of us that get together weekly if not fortnightly and scrap. It is just like old times for those that used to come Friday nights and scrap.
I keep thinking I should go back to work but I have been informed by Cameron that I don't need to go back just yet. He tells me I need a break. He's a keeper.
I was only just recently asked by Janine at This n That Scrap Shack if I was interested in teaching there. I am seriously thinking about it but just have to wait for the OK from the solicitor. Just in case there is some legal reason I can't do this yet.
I am getting excited as the Scrap Clubs Retreat 2 Scrap is only 34 more sleeps away. Sorry Petrina I just have to mention it ONE more time. That's like 4 weeks away. Unlimited and uninterrupted scrapbooking and uninterrupted sleeping. That's if I sleep this time again. I so look forward to this retreat each year. It is a real shame there is only one a year. HINT.... HINT....
I best go and get some scrappin done while the girls are resting.
